All right, all right. Despite almost Design*Sponge quality pictures and a heartwarming message in my last post I know what you all want: You want kittens.
I read the comments, I got the emails and the text. Even the kittens have been nosing about to see if they been featured in a new post yet.
Fine, fine, here's first impressions, less than 24 hours together.
I feel like a ring master in a 2 ring circus. They dash, they splash in the Lab's bowl, they hang from the screen in the front door, they roll and they tumble, they snuggle and they snarl. They climb up and then down and run around and around and then fall down and go to sleep.
The Lab is terrified so I shut them in the bedroom today when I left for work. They had their water and crunchies and cage and litter box and toys and air conditioning.
I returned home to find the hood without power, the Lab looking guilty as hell and the kittens parading around as if they owned the place.
I guess they do.
God help us.
Have you had time to kiss those little pink toes? Double trouble at Small but Charming! But this is pure jubilation of life. How I would love to pull a kitten off of the shades and nibble it's little ears. Nikka will get used to them. She's a stellar Lab!
ReplyDeleteOh, my. They are so freakin` cute!

Oh so precious! I love seeing them wrapped around each other. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteBonnie, me too but if you could see a little closer you would realize they were pounding the stuffing out of each other!
DeleteOh... But they are awfully cute.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh...they are so darn cute!
ReplyDeleteHello Jane
ReplyDeleteSo is it really possible to herd cats? You seem to have managed nicely
Fun

Congratulations! They are adorable. Of course they are tearing the house up... well-behaved kittens, boring! Enjoy the entertainment!
ReplyDeleteHow cute, they look so soft and lovable! x
ReplyDeleteCute as buttons. Both of them - adorable! Happy days. x
ReplyDeleteSara!! Where have you been?
DeleteSo much cuteness!! :D
ReplyDelete..and they look so innocent!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAdorable little terrors. Poor lab!
ReplyDeleteTotally adorable! Do they have names?
ReplyDeleteThe photo of them in the chair with the sheepskin is a framer. You could sell us all prints in your etsy shop that specializes in the flora and fauna of SBC.
Yes he's (bottom pic) Gus and she's Lucy. So of course Lucy Lui or Lucifer, Guster , or Gustav orOuch!
DeleteWhat precious little ones! I love kittens but just can't keep up with them. I always adopt adult cats. I hope the lab and the kittens become best buddies :)
ReplyDeleteAwwwww cute! My eyes are watering just looking at them - allergic!!!
ReplyDeleteYep, you've got kittens. Poor Lab, they will do what they want with her and she will just give in...sort of like you.
ReplyDeleteOh you know me so well!
DeleteHAhahahahaha. Kittens. That's my version of LOLcats:).
ReplyDeleteI know exactly what you mean. It took Thelma approximately 15 minutes to figure out she (all 1 1/2 lbs of her at the time) OWNED this place and everyone in it. Now at about 3 1/2 lbs she's won over everyone but Louise. And I had forgotten how ACTIVE kittens are. Holy crap that little girl is at either full bore or fast asleep. Nothing in between. She makes me tired.
ReplyDeleteMy girls are desperately trying to persuade me that it's time for a kitten. I've been resisting quite well - up until now. You forget just how cute they are!
ReplyDeleteThe caption for that last picture is perfect! What a pair of darlings you've there. So enjoy your witty/wise and wonderful blog. Pam from South Africa
ReplyDeleteFantastic, they've arrived. The feline adventure starts here.
