Jen, no the lights just trail out the jar, around the back of the shelf and to the plug in back of the couch. Strangely easy and as crafty as I ever get.
Janet, Thank you:) me too!
Steve, could you that would be pretty stupendous!
Hartwood Roses, you put the lights in the bottle? How long a strand I wonder...
Sarah, Right? Too messy for me! And house too small!
Jane, I joined your Flower in the house party...you know I never miss a party of yours...and why have I never added little twinkle lights to a jar....it's like magic! Candle light and twinkle lights...that's all it takes to make me happy...well that and a glass of wine! Cheers! xo annie
This is such a lovely touch. I saw this in a boutique the other day and thought, I want one of these and I want it up all year round! They'd kind of be like fireflies in a jar in the summer, non?
jane, i just found a string of 20 clear tiny lights...put them in a clear bottle that's from a very dear friend...it's dark now and i cannot tell you happy this little light makes me...this will stay way past Christmas. Thanks for the inspiration my friend! xo annie
I love it! Here's my question: where is the plug? Is there a hole in the bottom of the jar.
ReplyDeletelove it jane!

Hey, I should do that with my aquarium!
ReplyDeleteI did this with a red wine bottle. Isn't it cool how something so simple can make us smile?
ReplyDeleteI love it too...way better than lights strewn perfectly around the house.

ReplyDeleteIf I could light every room with Christmas lights, I would do it..all year. There isn't any better light to my mind.
