Fly Me To The Moon

Aim Higher.

That's my motto for March. I stole it from the roommate who is doing The Happiness Project.

Aim High...Fly-Fight-Win is the  motto of the Air Force, appropriately enough, since I'm on my way to the airport.

Where I will be flying, fighting fear and winning self respect.

I expect to feel like a rock star when I get off that plane.

What doesn't kill us makes us stronger, right?

Okey dokey, I'm outta here.

One, two three.....

Y'all better be the wind beneath my wings!

  1. Just remember - when you hear noises in the bottom of the plane - it is though big tall chicken legs that are walking along - keeping that plane in the air - go chickens!!!

  2. Keep us updated all the way. Really. Can you post from your phone? Or head to Facebook and let us know how it is going. It will also help distract you.

    And what JoAnn says.

That thunking under the plane always scared me. Just the wheels (er, chicken legs) going up and in, or out and down.

  4. Breathe deep, close your eyes and let go. Nobody likes to fly but where would we be if we didn't. Have a wonderful time.

  5. Erm...did those cats think that "aim high" meant from a high ledge?

  10. Reporting in from an unseasonably cold Florida (what luck). The flight was made much better by finding meself seated next to an older Egyptian woman and an ancient Muslim woman both of whom needed my help. I'm such a task oriented person I was delighted to leave my own stuff aside and deal with theirs.
Thanks for all the good thoughts.

  14. Love the butt shot. Glad the trip went easier than feared. Personally I take a decongestant before flying- two benefits, no ear pain (or much less than when I forget) and I am so drowsy that I usually can sleep, or at least be in that world half between.

  15. So glad you arrived without incident and with seat mates selected to distract you (coincidence?). I guess you must be back now, I am so far behind (hmmm, like those cats?) I hope it warmed up and you soaked up some sunshine.
