Nada For Navidad

Don't worry. Though I'm rushing about flinging up greens and decorations in the home of others our house remains untouched by any sign of the season. And the cobblers children have no shoes as my mother used to say.

We're basically just lying about with our feet in one anothers face. No tree, no wreath, no nutting.

We have a touch of white here,

And a big burst of white there.

Oh, and a few more stems tucked about.

We hope to do a some hall decking this weekend, but there is a Saturday night party that involves a little fancy dress and some makeup application.  And a Sunday evening concert.

Plus we decided to get (minimally) crafty this year and make a few ornaments that the kittens can't break.

But they can still destroy.

Stay tuned.

Christmas 2012: a process not an event.

  7. I have a clutch of paper whites I cut from some too tall bulbs. C'est tout. If I had puppies or kittens around my house, I'd make them Christmas ornaments too!

  9. I gave up on Christmas decorating with cats many years ago. I have a red poinsettia that is out of their reach and that is my 2012 Christmas decor.

  11. Putting it up is a process, one I quite enjoy...taking it down is quick in a matter of minutes on boxing day. By noon on the 26th it looks like it never happened. Not sure why I'm like that.

  12. Love that solution to cold cat feet....just shove 'em under your sibling whilst they're sleeping! Happy holidays Doll!

  13. Haven't done a thing yet either but I usually don't until mid month anyway so hopefully next weekend. You know those two are just going to climb straight up that tree don't you? Or maybe not. Hope you had fun at the fancy dress ball.
