Hours in a hospital. Sometimes it was boring. Sometimes alarming. The staff at Washington Hospital Center showed nothing but compassion, patience and a fierce devotion to their mothers and babies to be.
Tini labored impressively but by 8:00AM a C-Section was agreed upon.
At 9:42, cord wrapped twice around his neck and head facing upward, Emil was delivered.
Welcome little elf.

ReplyDeleteMy congratulations to all, as well, and I groan in solidarity with Tini. About 21 years and two months ago my son came into the world in much the same way—a whole lot of pitocin followed by a caesarian. He turned out to be a very easy baby, despite the hard time he gave me at the outset! Best wishes to Tini and Nirmal and little Emil and his aunties!
ReplyDeleteThat little foot...I've got a lump in my throat and tears in my eyes...I'm bloody hopeless!! Congratulation Aunty Jane...what a wonderful new year present! Robx
