Ch Ch Changes

It's uncomfortable busy at work so I would like to spit those words right back up ( see previous post).

But I do have these monochromatic bridesmaids bouquets from Fridays wedding to show you so perhaps all that work isn't for naught.

My body is also a wee bit uncomfortable after 2 more sessions with my sadist trainer Andrew. Add to that an hour massage with a man I can only imagine went to the same boot camp as  Andrew and you have my week in a nut shell of pain. But I am now able to haul the 5 gallon buckets full of water and roses up and down the stairs without a whimper.  To the amazement of my coworkers and myself.

Our v. loud and large second driver just found out yesterday about my stopping smoking and was so obnoxious about it and his perceived notions of what my behavior will be like, that I went out to the parking lot, smoked a cigarette and sobbed uncontrollably the entire time.

Then I shook it off, splashed my face with water and led the team to two touchdowns. (  AKA: Got the next weddings finished).

Makes me wonder thought, why are people so resistant to change?

Isn't that what life is about?  Facing the strange?

  3. How very rude and unkind, sadly some people just have no idea....so sorry/cross he dumped that on you, grrr.

You just quietly and uncompromisingly prove him wrong. It will be a triumph for both your lungs and your dignity. Use it as a spur to your success. 110% behind you Jane, we all are. Extra hug, Bxxx

  5. A-hole for sure. At least with your new-found physique, you'll be able to take him out if he doesn't cease and desist.

    Love that dark purple arrangement.

  10. Mean, mean driver. I bet he couldn't carry those buckets like you can. I bet no one reads his tedious ungrammatical blog. I bet you are ultimately more resilient than he is mean.

  11. Some people get very threatened and try to undermine you when you do something good for yourself. I should take one of those gorgeous bouquets and tell him to shove it where the sun don't shine :-)

  12. Bet he smokes. I'm going with projection anxiety.
You're going to be so healthy, so radiant, you're going to have so much more energy (is this possible)? and your hair and your clothes will smell like flowers and occasionally german sausages! You thought food was good? Just wait.

  13. Don't succumb to negativity in any shape or form, you WILL succeed. You won't feel deprived of nicotine therefore your behaviour will not change for the worse. The thing that struck me when I stopped, was the amount of time I had over. You will also smell nicer. Be strong, you can and will do it. I'm with you all the way, remember.

  14. How very ugly and rude of your driver. (I suspect he was the one throwing sand in the sandbox when he was young) He sounds like someone who doesn't like seeing someone else succeed. And succeed you will. You will walk out of the fog!

  16. I was just looking a the calendar this morning and thought of your day of 'Freedom' not being far off. Don't you pay attention to that negative talk, you will not be awful when you quit, I think some people just use certain things as an excuse to be cranky and you aren't like that. You were wise to set a date to quit like you did. I set one 2 weeks out and found it very helpful to know the night that I would have my last. xo

  17. I think he's jealous...of your will, determination etc. It's a shame one has to put another down and for the sake of what?
Your job is to rise above and succeed!
Bet he'd like to know you have a gang from across the world rootin for you. :)

  18. You all know how much I loved sneaking away from all the work today to read your comments.

They made me laugh, they made me smile, they helped me feel empowered.

  19. Hi Jane: I truly applaud your stop smoking plan! I know you have the strength & determination to accomplish it. I did it about seven years ago and never looked back. My one piece of advice, do it just for you, nobody else.
I will be sending you positive energy during this adventure.

  20. There's something broken in a person who would deride your smoking cessation - so just write him off as the a***ole he is.

You are so strong. You can do this - all of this. And, the flowers are lovely. Namaste. xoxo
