What Are You Doing Monday? Wanna Come Over?

The thermometer outside the shop on Friday read 120F/ 50C.  Inside we toiled away on a wedding for a crying bride.  She was heartbroken her ceremony would have to be moved inside.  I told her we didn't want to see her in the  Sunday headlines" Twelve Dead At -----'s Wedding. She laughed, I heaved a sigh of relief.  I imagined myself darting out to place flowers and ribbons on the chairs seconds before the bride was about to walk out the door to the ROOF garden.  Roof=heat x two.

Is it crazy to do Flowers In The Hot House this Monday? Is it too hot to even keep flowers alive?  Or for my friends across the ocean too wet to even pick them?

Now I'm off to get ready for work.  Looking forward to loading and unloading the flowers on a day that promises to be even hotter than yesterday..........not.

    So hard to imagine that heat as we shiver in an unseasonally chilly July, feeling more like September here.

    Seriously? 120? I thought we were getting hit hard. So happy you still have a sense of humor and are not flowering a rooftop. Try and stay cool!

    I had no idea it got that hot where you are. We get 90 to 100 here in the summer. I really feel for you.Take care.

    A definite yes....

    Feel for your flowers in the heat, last summer I had to plate individual salads for a garden party, no sooner had I plated the first ten (think I had 60 to do... since erased it from my memory!)had they wilted into sorry little piles that I kept trying to refresh in a never ending cycle- so sad!

    Hi Jane,

    How can you work with such high temperatures?! It's sooooooo Hot! I can only say good luck & keep cool. It's 13 degrees Celsius in Holland. Can you believe it? These are fall temperatures!!!
