While I Wandered Lonely

I have 15 minutes to write this.  Showers and dog walking and work beckon.

But we've been apart so long.  By Friday morning I had given up and rushed off to attend my first meeting of BA, Bloggers Anonymous.  I met many local bloggers there, some famous, many unknown like myself.  But we all had a commonality, we couldn't post, comment, or even write future posts.  We seemed doomed to a life of reading only.  Reading and keeping our thoughts to ourselves.  I shudder even now to think of the pain I heard expressed there.

I arrived at work feeling hopeful the problem would be resolved.  I was not to know, because in my absence our driver had decided to clean up the computer and managed to unload some security virus that kept us from logging in all day.  Perhaps he works for Google on the side.

After work there was only time for a brief garden walk , even the plants seemed dark and moody. A quick change of clothes and we were off to a birthday party for a 5 year old.  Pretty Pretty Princess and Princess Yahtzee, glitter paper and chocolate cake can only help so much though.

But this morning I awoke to find you all here where you belong with new pictures and stories.  My heart and mind are at rest.

My 15 minutes of fame are up now.  I'll be back to visit after 6:00, please keep everything running in my absence, K?

  1. Gorgeous pictures, Jane, but what is it? I love the contrast.

Internet connection down on my personal computer, so am needing BA, too. Maybe tomorrow I can get it together to post. Miss you. xoxo

  4. Elderberry? Beautiful blossoms.

I went through horrid withdrawls, almost curled up in a ball in the corner! I am considering getting my own website, the ones that had their own went on like nothing was wrong in their world..I was jealous.

    Have a great weekend.

  5. Black elder, i have cut almost all of mine for wedding work. I doubt it will flower now. So thank you for the picture.

I am waiting for a bride she is 15 minutes late, and is bride 3 of 6 and now the whole afternoon is out of schedule.

Already i am not doing her wedding.

  6. Jane, you're looking very like a cloud today. Beautifully so. And I feel your pain. For those dark hours when there were the Technical Issues I kept fearing, dreading, that I might never hear from you again, as this thin thread of blogging is all that binds us, that and the promise of florentines. Now that you are posting again I feel that a beam of sunlight has entered the room. How am I doing here?

  10. I was terribly annoyed at blogger and went out and commented on all my friends who weren't with blogger. I love those little pink flowers. I'd like to plant that in my yard. I wonder if that would grow in So. Calif. I've never seen it.

  20. It has been a long strange trip. Thank goodness you had chocolate cake to pull you through. I had spicy eggplant and shrimp fried rice. Still, I'm missing some lovely comments on Chez Danisse. So sad.

  25. BA. You're very funny! I just popped an Ativan to get me through.

I've wanted to get one of those elderberry for the past few years. It's a great color. and would be great paired with a blue hosta. I love dark and moody gardens.
