We walk into a shop full of cherry blossoms and pussy willows. There are saucers of oaxalis plants and buckets filled with ranunculus in every color imaginable. Vases of pastel sweet peas, cut hyacinths, and locally grown calla lilies almost make your teeth ache.
If it wasn't called work, I would think I had arrived in Candy Land.
P.S. Are you tired of looking at flowers yet?
P.P.S. I was totally knocked out by all the people who linked up for Flowers In The House. And I especially loved how everyone went around and visited one another and left comments and compliments, became followers and friends, welcomed new bloggers and new to me bloggers to the community. It's a big world out there. It's nice we can make it a closer one by sharing just a little beauty and wit with one another.

P.S. Have you entered my contest yet?
I give up. I am taking my life's savings to the best florist in town and filling my van with sweet peas and ranunculus! I must have some - now!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a good Wednesday. I really love those cherry blossoms.
ReplyDeleteHate I missed participating:(. Everything is sooo beautiful right now in nature so I could never get tired of it(flowers I mean). I got a lil teary eyed in Walmarts garden section today. Whats that all about you ask?! Well after a long winter here in Texas. All the beautiful photos of flowers past and emerging is a sure sign that my most favorite times in life are coming spring and summer and that's when I feel most alive. The cabin and a thoughts of a new garden await me. Sheer happiness.Again I say keep um comin!!!
ReplyDeleteI will never tire of looking. I could bury my face in those sweet peas!
ReplyDeleteSue, can you grow willows there? Or are you rightfully afraid if having your yard overtaken like ours is?
ReplyDeleteWebb, better drive your van up here. I'll take you to the wholesalers. Your life savings will go further there
Denise, Next picture I'll put honey bear in with them. Hope you get some sun soon.
Comeca, I'm sorry you missed participating too. But I hope you visited each and every one who did. Looking and commenting is participating too.
Jane, Then you're the perfect audience for me!
truly luscious.

Oooo, lovely! Massed ranunculus - reminds me of Amsterdam's flower market in the depths of winter.
ReplyDeleteBTW, I received a stern correction on my flower post - CORAL, not garish pinky-orange! Ah well, all a matter of preference, I suppose!
I can look at these photos all night...the colours superb and you have some of my favourites, oxalis, ranunculus and sweet peas. I think I would love visiting your shop! xo
ReplyDeleteLove your flower photos Jane and sweetpeas are my absolute favourite. Makes me think of England in June. XX
ReplyDeleteNEVER tire of flowers! Your sweetpeas inspired me to look into why I never see them growing around here. Unfortunately, what I found out is that it's too hot here for them. Sad. I love them. But I can enjoy them on your blog, so keep the flower pics coming, girl!

Yum. Just like those clementines you featured last post, which I hold partly responsible for my recent citrus-overdose. Luckily citrus-overdose is not dangerous or even unpleasant.
ReplyDeleteHi Jane,
ReplyDeleteNoooo, I am not tired of all the flowers. I want more!!!!!
Lieve groetjes van Madelief xox
