When This Old World Starts Getting You Down

Not to be outdone, Gus also rose. Up on the roof.

Pardon my Easter humor but I attended mass this morning at the little Episcopalian church in our hood and they handed out buttons that read: " Salvation. He nailed it".

When did Easter get so hip?

And how did Gus get up on the roof?

So many questions, so little sun.

    1. Keep looking up, don"t lose the faith baby.

And don't publish any vile comments.

Jealousy drives people to hideous places.

      We all love you.

    1. No he came down shortly after I stopped taking pictures. No camera, no action.

  8. Kittehs can't help it. They are naturally curious. Did he show you how he's getting down or did you have to retrieve him?

I have trouble with "hip" churches. Their music and bands were the last straw for me. I guess I'm turning into my mother...

    1. He climbed up the screen door and jumped from the top. How he got down I'll never know. He's sleeping it off now.

  10. That kitty-boy is a party waiting to happen, isn't he?
We had all the sun here in OR-totally hogged it. Sorry.
We'll share it soon, I'm sure.

The hip church thing reminds me of parents trying to be cool by adopting teen slanguage. It's never as cool as they want it to be, lol.

Hope your Easter was as fun as Gus's!

  11. Some things, many in fact, just shouldn't be hip. Easter, at least for me, is one of these these things. I hope you enjoyed a hot cross bun today (or recently), Jane.

    1. Almost. I had a package in my hand and then I put them down at the register.

      What was I thinking?

  12. Surely your cat is a lot more agile than my dog, and he can get up on the roof.

    xo

    1. But your dog just goes out the window, right?

i don't mean to make it sound so easy, he does have to get thru a screen...

  13. We used to have a cat that was fond of going up on the roof -- ours and the neighbors. We would see him sunning himself on the south-facing slope of a nearby bungalow! They just love getting up where they can look down on us, I think.

    1. That would make me laugh and laugh if I saw him on a neighbor's roof. Don't even put the idea in his head!
