And On The 7th Day.....

Ankle wrapped, hair uncombed, iced latte in hand. I'm outta here. The garden waits.

The sun's shining, the birds chirping and my neighbor is already running her lawnmower at 8:00am.

The cat and dog are hard at work weeding and watering.

Over planted? Don't be silly.

Such an over used word in our garden.

Hope your Sunday is a beautiful and humidity free as ours.

  1. There is no such thing as over planting. My Sunday and my hair are the same as yours. I'm out the door. Enjoy!

  3. Same sort of day here, 50 miles to the south of you. Customers arriving in a hour or so, so I must look a bit more presentable than I usually do when I'm in the garden. Friday's rain has loosened the weeds, and it's going to be a delight to work outside today.

  4. I combed my hair this morning and am now feeling very pedestrian, very impulse-free. I shall call you in future to see what the right thing to do is.

  5. Is that Bear's Britches? they are gorgeous - whatever they are. Hair, schmair ... who cares. Hope the ankle is getting better. The garden looks great!

  6. You sound like you're feeling better.

But there's something about a dog weeding that always makes me feel uneasy......

  7. Oh I don't think you can ever over plant. I only wish my garden looked so full and lush. Enjoy your day. Bonnie

  8. Just getting caught up but I still can't tell what happened to sprain the ankle.

I would be up at 8:00 but there's something sacred about the morning peace and quiet. A lawnmower is a little much at that time.

  10. So pretty! Your neighbour is very fortunate to live next to you- it would have been a messy Sunday if they lived next to me! x

  11. The athyrium looks great planted with the acanthus.
Love the overflowing planting. Its a good selection for cut flower material.

  12. That IS acanthus I see. The same plant that I planted from a going-out-of-business sale one year, forgot, and ripped it out thinking it was a weed the next. At a proud 1-inch tall, it is trying a comeback this year. Says something about the quality of my weeding.
