The Accidental Tourist

It's Saturday morning and the heat wave has broken, I have just finished the first 600 odd pages of The Game Of Thrones ( a genre I don't usually dabble in but hey it's summer) and today is my last day of work for the week.

Let me throw out a thought here: Monday, June Flowers In The House?

If you're new to us here are the rules:.........ok no rules , here's a link to see how it looks.

If you've got it in your garden pick it and flaunt it.

If not, go to your farmers market or indy flower shop and buy a few stems of summer, put them in a vase and invite us over.

We'll visit you, maybe grab something cold to drink and perhaps sign your guest book.  You'll do the same.  You'll travel the States. You'll get to go abroad for the summer.

You in?  Good.  See you Monday!

xo Jane

  1. I love your Flowers in the House. The question is only whether I can bring myself to cut my white roses and look at them on the table instead of out my kitchen window:). Tough call.

  2. Looks like you might have to bite the bullet, it appears to be just you and me so far!

  3. Nooo, I'm with you on Monday! Sorry I have been a lame comment leaver recently, it is crazyville round here at the mo, but just had a lovely catch of your last few posts. Pleeease can we have some of your warm weather? I actually felt quite warm walking Rolo yesterday and then realised I was wearing a 2 jumpers and a scarf!!! Waaa!xx

  4. Hi Jane,

One of my daughters is into The game of Thrones as well! She just can't stop readying :-)!

Wish I could take part in your "June, flowers in the house", but I don't think I can find the time. Sorry!!

    Have a lovely weekend!

    Madelief x

  5. I am ready for Monday. I have been taking lessons from The Vintique Object blog.

  6. Would love to do FITH Monday--especially 'cause I have a few from my garden I can flaunt.

My oldest son and husband read the Martin books one by one as they came out. I read them all last winter and got totally hooked.

  7. I'm in. with all the good weather, I actually have cuttable flowers! Hope all is well with you.

  8. Not a bit of colour to be seen as the morning frosts have been upon us for the last week and everything is now burnt!!! Will participate in a few months! xx

  9. I won't be around tomorrow, but want you to know that I currently have a vase of flowers and two vases of herbs in the cottage. Very gratifying...

I had flowers in the house last Monday too. Evidence:

    Have a great week!
