"They have the best garden"
"And the best dog".
Our hearts fluttered.
Thanks boys.
Now don't let me catch you climbing over the fence again next time you lose your soccer ball. Walk around the block.
Oh what the hell, best garden and all that.....
Just don't step on the plants.
As the mother of three boys, I can say that is high praise. Your garden looks so beautiful and friendly--I would be there ever minute that I could, probably with a book and lemonade.
ReplyDeleteIf I told you what I did to a patio garden and koi pond when I was six....Still waiting for the karmic kickback in my garden...
ReplyDeleteI just had to kick some boys (fencing with ski poles) off my front yard after seeing them break my azalea in half. Nice of your boys to at least notice your garden.
ReplyDeleteI too have children climbing over my fence. The girls say they are playing "The Secret Garden". Okay I find that somewhat flattering. The boys?? They are trying to shoot birds with bb guns. Not making me or Willie very happy.
ReplyDeleteYou gardens are looking like the best:) Bonnie
Yes, the very fact that they noticed the garden speaks volumes. The dog goes without saying!
ReplyDeleteWow, boys noticing gardens instead of trampling them, you did good. Looks lovely.
ReplyDeleteYour garden looks beautiful! I really love it when boys notice things like that - it's the ultimate compliment! I have a little 5 year old neighbor who came into the shop to help his mom pick out a flower the other day and said "I want that really beautiful yellow one in the back". That made me so happy. I think that boys that appreciate these things will turn into nice men!
ReplyDeleteWe knew that! Everything is looking so good! I want to come lie down in the middle of it all - perhaps with the boys? xoxo
ReplyDeleteWhat a great philosophy for life - come on over, just don't step on the plants.
ReplyDeleteAren't they sweet to even recognise that at their age!
