Got Flowers?

I barely do.  I don't know why I was all worried that posting the day after Easter might be too much for y'all.  Apparently I forgot I was a florist and when I finally walked out of the shop on Saturday, flowers for my own house would be far from my mind.

But I do have a garden and it has a few things blooming that make me swoon.  Pink lily of the valley?  Oh, yeah.


Sweet dreams are made of these.

Red honeysuckle, lilac and a few sweet peas.


The peonies are from work and were tightly closed on Saturday night.  After an Easter Sunday with highs in the 80s, I was giving them oxygen to keep them alive for a picture.  But the bedside care is so worth it.  Walking into a room and getting a whiff of these is head turning, mind blowing, stop you in your tracks delicious.


And lambs ear. No scent, just softness. Sigh.

Have I forgotten anything?


You were wondering if the Easter Bunny came through?  You know he did.

    Those pink lily of the valley flowers are making me swoon too Jane, can't say I have seen them in pink before, my white ones are just popping up.. and those peonies are sumptuous, your house must smell wonderful with all those lovely scented flowers. Love your little easter biscuits x

    Don't want to reveal the same-old same-old in my house today. Daffs, roses, and some unpleasant alstromeria the colour of placenta.

    You have some lovely ones! I'm so excited we can do peonies pretty soon.
    We didn't have many flowers left at the shop on Sat. with all the last minute Easter shoppers but I did manage to put a few roses on my mantel.

    for not having any flowers you sure came through. they are all so beautiful and i bet your house smells heavenly. i've got the stink of too many roses going on here. such problems.

    I love lily of the valley but can't seem to grow it very happily so enjoying yours and the generous patch at my inlaws which means that lucky guests get vasefuls in their bedrooms this time of year. Will post my offerings when we get home later today. xxx

    my flower post is not so much "in the house" more so "in the hair" but I've plopped those azaleas and dogwoods in some bud vases since the shoot. :)
